Job Description
Role: IT Delivery Manager
Location: Kolkata
Duration: Full Time, Permanent
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technology Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing application transformation programs. In this role, you will be helping support complex application transformation initiatives, ensuring successful talent identification/screening, team building and support delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Additionally, 60% of your time will be dedicated to technical screening of candidates and working closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and needs, ensuring that the right technical expertise is selected and that it is aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Screening & Sales Collaboration:
- Conduct technical screening of potential U.S based candidates to assess their skills, experience, and alignment with project needs.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements, ensuring technical solutions meet business goals.
- Provide technical guidance during the pre-sales process to help define project scope, timelines, and resource needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to project execution.
- Promote the companys employer brand in each interaction with the candidates to attract top talent and enhance the organizations reputation in the job market.
Program Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, technical architects, development teams (onsite), to understand program scope, objectives, client provided job descriptions/requirements and success criteria.
- Develop comprehensive plans, including resource identification, selection and resource management related, risk management, issue resolution, and mitigation strategies.
- Implement and enforce talent selection & management best practices, methodologies, and tools.
Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders to help achieve consultant placement and revenue objectives.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, related to required U.S. based talent/candidate sourcing & selection, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and providing timely updates on program status.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize client specific talent identification & selection risks and issues, developing and implementing appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Lead risk and issue management activities related to talent identification & selection, including monitoring, tracking, and escalating as necessary.
- Foster a proactive risk management culture within the delivery & talent sourcing team, promoting the identification and resolution of risks at the earliest possible stage.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical screening/ interviewing U.S. based candidates, with a focus on .NET, Java, Data & Analytics, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of various technologies and the ability to assess diverse technical skills effectively.
- Technical Interviewing: Proven expertise in conducting technical interviews to evaluate candidates' technical abilities and fit for the role and job description.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with U.S. based candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12 to 15 years of experience, preferably 2+ years in delivering large application transformation programs.
- Proven experience as a Application Technology Manager, overseeing large-scale application transformation programs.
- Experience in working with onsite development teams.
- Strong knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12 to 15 years of experience, with at least 2+ years in delivering large application transformation programs.
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, overseeing large-scale application transformation programs, preferably within a multi-million dollar budget.
- Experience in working with onsite teams.
- Strong knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Technical Expertise:
Must Haves:
- Strong experience executing delivery and/or selecting candidates across;
- C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, Azure PaaS
- Java, Python, AWS, GCP
- UI Development, backend, database development
- Data engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, Reporting
- Agile and CI/CD methodologies
- Infrastructure architectures and best practices
Nice to have
- Project Management: Experience in program/project management within an Agile environment.
- Certification in project/program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is highly desirable.
- Experience in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
- Cybersecurity including Governance, Risk & Compliance, Security Engineering & Architecture, Security Operations
- Infrastructure including Cloud management, IT Service Management, CMDB, Infrastructure architecture
