 Client Reporting Analyst

Job Description

The Client Reporting Role is responsible for review and verification of Performance Returns for a variety of internally generated reports.  It involves preparing, reviewing and delivering reports to clients, often focusing on investment performance, portfolio composition, and related metrics. The analyst will be working with portfolio management teams, technology, data vendor, and custodians. 

Responsibilities:

  • Generating reports on a regular basis (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
  • Supporting the implementation of new reporting systems /dashboards/ reports.
  • Coordinate the production process and troubleshoot monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc client reports
  • Review data integrity of client reports
  • Utilize multiple sources to verify transaction details, investigate timing of transaction activity, payment of dividends and account holdings attributes.
  • Analyze performance return discrepancies related to account reconciliation and booking of account transaction activity
  • Day-to-day liaising with internal teams in resolving any issues with client reporting
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures, including the designing and documenting of process flows across multiple functions pertaining to client reporting
  • Knowledge of a broad spectrum of security types across Equities, Fixed Income, Options, Derivatives and Alternative Investments
  • Participate in end user and parallel testing modes for a variety of client reports.

Process Improvement and Automation

  • Identifying and implementing areas for process improvement and automation.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

.Qualifications:

  • Bachelors / MBA degree
  • Experience with reporting, reconciliation and Alternatives knowledge preferred.
  • High level of comfort reviewing large amounts of data within strict timeframes.
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.

Skillsets required

  • Proficiency in data analysis, Business Intelligence (BI) tools like SAP BusinessObjects (preferred) or PowerBI
  • Experience with reporting software and systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and technical aptitude.
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks
