Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Director of Project Management for Data Governance, the Project Manager (PM) role is responsible for project managing activities related to the development and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, data quality improvement initiatives, and Data Governance operational support initiatives that require a PMs oversight. The PM will lead our development team using an Agile and or hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodology and work with business partners to help drive solutions needed to support the practice.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage multiple projects for the Data Governance team, serving as the main point of contact and escalation.
- Plan, schedule, and orchestrate projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including leading backlog refinement, sprint planning, and standups.
- Develop project charters, timelines, and resource plans, while managing risks, resolving issues, and tracking progress.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring clear communication of objectives and deliverables.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting productivity and accountability.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred, with 5+ years of project management experience (healthcare preferred).
- Preferred certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with ServiceNow PPM, Agile Modules, and SharePoint is highly desirable.
- Experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, and Data Quality Improvement projects is highly valued.
