Job Description
Role & responsibilities :
- Support the Head of Infrastructure in the development of various automated processes and pipelines
- Present proposed ideas to other developers and team members including Senior stakeholders
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions for testing various new technologies and processes
- Understand and document automation scripts, pipelines and processes both manually and with the use of AI-driven documentation tools
- Mentor and train other team members to continually improve Devops practices and processes
- Test, debug, analyse and fix application problems and issues
- Understand Scrum and agile processes and update User Stories, Features and Epics in a timely manner
Technical Skills:
Please note: You will be expected to demonstrate your knowledge of various technical skills directly in the interview.
- Minimum 8+ years experience in the field of DevOps and automation
- Minimum 5+ years experience in Azure Public Cloud with knowledge of Storage Accounts, KMS, VNET, Subnets, Route Tables, Network Security Groups, Privileged Identity Management, Azure CLI, etc., (Not exhaustive). Having an Azure Cloud Expert certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in using GitHub Actions and Workflows
- Minimum 3+ hands-on experience in Kubernetes and containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
- Practical experience of packaging applications and optimizing them into Docker images developed using Python, Typescript, Java etc.,
- Understand best practices around security and performance when packaging applications as Docker images
- Packaging Dockerized applications to be deployed into Kubernetes using Helm Charts, Kustomize and other Kubernetes related tools.
- Understand all Kubernetes concepts such as ingresses, load balancers, configmaps, secrets, deployments, statefulsets, replicasets, custom resource definitions etc.,
- Proven experience of maintaining and scaling Kubernetes clusters in a Production capacity
- Deep understanding of YAML, JSON and transforming them using various Unix Scripts and tools
- Understand the concepts of API based application deployment and use of API Gateways
- Direct hands-on experience of RESTful APIs and Microservices required
- Direct hands-on experience of deploying Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform is a MUST.
- Deploying Terraform using atlantis and GitHub is an added bonus
- Desirable to have exposure of minimum of a single solution within each category of the DevOps Periodic Table is preferred => https://digital.ai/periodic-table-of-devops-tools
- Use of cert-manager, external-dns and other plugin applications for Kubernetes is a MUST

- Self-starter and self-motivated and invests in continuous improvement
- String critical thinking and analytics skills
- Demonstrates problem-solving using out-of-the-box thinking
- Ability to work independently and MUST be an extrovert. If you are an introvert, please do not apply as this is a fast-moving startup company and collaboration with all team members and senior stakeholders is an expected skill.

What will you contribute:
- As a key Development team member, you will have strong hands-on implementation and scripting experience in automating and provisioning Azure Cloud infrastructure.
- You will be required to provide guidance and hands-on support to the development team in designing and packaging applications into Docker containers, helm charts, GitHub workflows and ultimately use GitOps techniques to deploy applications to Azure Kubernetes Services
- You must have actual knowledge of Azure Networking, DNS, RBAC, Key Management, TLS, Logging and Monitoring, Disaster Recovery and many more
- You will work collaboratively with management, scrum masters, architects and developers to define, create, deploy and test automated integration and continuous deployment pipelines
