Job Description
ROLE OUTLINE: Responsible to maintain operational efficiency of R&D procurement section. Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts and prepare reports (e.g. on orders and costs) to match the specific parameters for the particular raw material requested by R&D/Commercial. Arranges the samples for R & D export related projects from multiple suppliers and maintains track record of all samples received by the factory.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Material Management
- Timely processing of purchase requisitions across units for timely supply of items to the departments as per the need.
- Follow actionable as per strategies for procuring and manage approval status of arranged samples.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received specially for R&D.
- Effective & proactive liaison with HCII, Natural and Biosys section for timely internal transfer of material as per purchase order priority.
- Support in the development of alternative local sources for raw materials focusing on localized vendor networks for provision of cost effective and easily accessible goods without compromise on specific client requirements/established quality parameters.
- Proactively coordinate with export team for procurement of samples for R&D team (USP, BP - grade) as per specific client requirement.
- Conduct regular follow-up with new and existing vendors to get the required samples as per the timelines.
- Identify the most profitable offers by regular market research and technical enquiry for exploring options available in the market and ensure lowest possible quotes from vendors who are a complete match with specific raw material requirements requested by different clients of the R&D department.
- Determine product costing for new products by utilizing market research data, review production/manufacturing and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customized orders.
Operational support
- Administer on-line purchasing systems, enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
- Arrange all the necessary documents requested by R&D, PMT and ADL team for new product development for all the new as well existing products.
- Update online sheet on daily basis to maintain track record of all samples which are received at the premises.
CANDIDATE PROFILE & SKILL SET:
- Relevant experience in managing operations in the purchase function, material & inventory management.
- B.Pharm is mandatory.
- Prior experience and awareness of order processing, procurement, vendor coordination.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work effectively.
- Good Communication, Negotiation & Interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP/SAP software.
Work Timings: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Alternative saturday off)
