Network Engineer - Junior @ Trigent

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are hiring a Cloud Network Operations Engineer to manage, monitor, and optimize cloud and on-prem network infrastructure. You'll work closely with SRE and Network Engineering teams to ensure network reliability, performance, and automation at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead proactive network operations and own escalated network issues
  
• Review and improve monitoring systems, alarms, and CMDB data accuracy
  
• Drive implementation and transition projects from engineering to operations
  
• Develop automation for config compliance, alert handling, and internal tooling
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
  

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge in routing, switching, security, load balancing
  
• Hands-on with protocols: 802.1q, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, ACLs, IPSEC, SNMP
  
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP and packet analysis
  
• Experience with Juniper JunOS, F5 Load Balancers, and Cisco IOS (plus)
  
• Tools: tcpdump, Wireshark, SolarWinds (or similar)
  
• Scripting with Python, Ansible, or JavaScript
  
• Basic Linux/Unix system troubleshooting
  
• Exposure to Agile/SDLC practices
  

Preferred:

• JNCIE or CCIE certified
  
• Experience in a cloud-first, large-scale operations environment
  
• Strong communication and project ownership skills
