Job Description: Software Tester
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Software Tester with strong Puppeteer and JavaScript expertise to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our web applications. You'll work closely with developers and product managers to identify and resolve issues, improve test coverage, and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Puppeteer and JavaScript
- Create and execute comprehensive test cases for web applications
- Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues in tracking systems
- Work with development teams to resolve identified issues
- Analyze test results and provide detailed feedback to stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability
- Continuously improve testing processes and frameworks
- Monitor and report on test coverage and quality metrics
- Stay current with testing methodologies and automation tools
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in any field (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields preferred)
- 2+ years of professional experience in software testing
- Strong proficiency with Puppeteer for automated testing
- Solid JavaScript programming skills
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
- Understanding of software QA methodologies and best practices
- Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience with additional testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Experience with API testing
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience with performance and load testing Knowledge of database concepts and SQL
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing
Technical Skills
