Job Description

Job title: Test Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own the test architecture, tools, frameworks, and automation strategies.
• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of end-to-end testing activities (functional, integration, regression, performance, and security).
• Define and drive the adoption of QA best practices across teams and SDLC stages.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and promote shift-left testing.
• Lead and mentor a team of test engineers and automation developers.
• Coordinate with development, product, and business teams to align test activities with delivery timelines.
• Ensure defects are well-documented, prioritized, and followed through resolution.
• Conduct test case reviews, UAT coordination, and sign-off processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in computers, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in a test lead or architect role.
• Strong expertise in manual and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, microservices, and integration testing.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and team coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.
• Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Agile Tester, or Test Automation Engineer are a plus.
