Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a thorough understanding of financial principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations; prepare and file tax returns as needed.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Maintain and update records in accounting software (Zoho Books).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters / Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho Books / Focus) and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience with tax preparation and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and present financial data clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing would be advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
