Position Title: Amada HM1003 Operator
Department: Manufacturing/Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor/Manager
Position Summary: The Amada HM1003 Operator is responsible for operating the Amada HM1003 press brake machine to produce parts and tools from metal, or other materials. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure the final products meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate the Amada HM1003 press brake machine.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Monitor machine operation to detect issues or malfunctions.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform regular quality checks and document findings.
- Make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Blueprint Reading:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure accurate translation of design specifications into final products.
- Material Handling:
- Load materials into the machine.
- Safely handle raw materials and finished products.
- Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine.
- Report any major issues to maintenance personnel or supervisor.
- Safety:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate production records and logs.
- Document any discrepancies or production issues.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- ITI / Diploma holders.
- Technical training or certification in machine operation preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience operating an Amada HM1003 press brake or similar machinery.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine programming.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing floor setting with exposure to machinery noise.
- May involve working in hot or cold conditions depending on the season.
- Use of protective gear such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime and shift work as required.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning new skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
