Role overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Active Directory and Exchange Specialist to work onsite in Oman with our client. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Azure AD, with hands-on experience in configuration, migration, and security auditing. The candidate must also be able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and ensure smooth infrastructure performance aligned with international standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop strategic goals and assess Microsoft infrastructure to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities.
- Design and execute migration plans for Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
- Document all configuration, security policies, and migration plans.
- Collaborate with client teams for knowledge transfer and implementation of cloud security best practices.
- Perform impact analysis for changes and address root cause of reported issues.
- To ensure that technology is used, managed and supported in accordance with banks standards, policies and procedures and align to international standards.
- To mitigate and close all identified gap and findings.
- Must have solid understanding on Microsoft products and strong knowledge on networking.
- Able to gather requirements from different stakeholders and transforming them into technical specifications with respect to Active Directory and Exchange server environments.
- Conduct regular security audits and apply access control measures.
- Configure and maintain Active Directory sites and ensure replication across domain controllers.
- Implement Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and maintain system security configurations.
- Participate in all activities relating to Active Directory and Exchange Server scheduled/non-scheduled failover drills/activity/incident, disaster recovery (set up and maintenance), and ensure full environments readiness, cross verification and availability.
- Utilize tools like PowerShell scripts, third-party tools, or custom solutions for the automate the routine process in Active Directory and Exchange environments.
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and managing Active Directory and Exchange environments.
- Must have experiences on Cloud migration and excellent knowledge on Zero Trust and security hardening architecture.
Criteria for the ideal candidate:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, Exchange Server, and Microsoft 365.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting, GPOs, AD site configuration, and Exchange environment management.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning, failover readiness, and system availability checks.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Prior experience with cloud migrations and understanding of Zero Trust models.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solution
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical teams and business users.
- Ability to manage project deadlines, track time, and communicate progress in a timely manner.
Work Location Requirement:
Candidate should be willing to work onsite at the client location in Oman. Infonyx will provide the following support:
