- *Job Title: L1 Network Specialist** Job Description for Network Technical Specialist The Network Technical Specialist will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a reliable, secure, and efficient data communication network. The engineer will support day-to-day network related project, implementation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the integrity of high-availability network infrastructure to provide optimal performance for the organization's business operations. Key Responsibilities: Network Design & Implementation: Plan, design, and implement network configurations, including hardware setup, protocols, and software solutions. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify issues, and resolve network-related problems in a timely manner. Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks for internal and external users. Network Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth and reliable network operation. Schedule system upgrades and software patches as necessary. Documentation: Maintain detailed network diagrams, equipment inventories, and other documentation related to the network infrastructure. Support &Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to users, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems to higher-level engineers if necessary. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement, support, and maintenance contracts. Collaboration: Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure network security and data protection. Network Optimization: Continuously improve network efficiency, monitoring tools, and procedures to maximize uptime and performance. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable. Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network or related certifications preferred. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in network administration or engineering. Key Skills: Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). Experience with LAN/WAN networks, VPNs, and MPLS. Hands-on experience with SDWAN, routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.). Knowledge of network security practices and firewall configurations. Knowledge of security solutions like ClearPass NAC, BT PAM is preferred Job Description for Network Technical Specialist Familiarity with cloud network environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus.,
