Working with the Securly Team is a unique and exciting challenge because you are involved in projects from the ideation stage all the way through to execution.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a scientific or technical discipline
- At least 10-14 years of experience in PHP or other backend technologies.
- End to end understanding of web servers and how they work.
- A clear understanding of software design patterns and principles.
- Sound knowledge of version control. Experience with Git is a must.
- Strong understanding of OOPs concepts.
- Hands on experience with AWS.
- Should have experience with NodeJS
- Must have in-depth knowledge of queue and caching techniques.
- Must have a good understanding of unit testing.
- Proven experience with performing code reviews and/or mentoring sessions
- A good understanding of Javascript bundling and performance (we use grunt)
- Significant experience with Angular 1.x and Later Versions
- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL Databases
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Chief Architect, discuss, formulate, and document a vision for Securly products.
- Detail out and refine higher level architecture decisions into lower level design.
- Define and decide development technology and platform, define development standards, tools, processes, etc.
- Lead implementation of technical and infrastructure initiatives to support the architecture decisions.
- Communicate the vision to the engineering team. Overlook and review the work of the team to ensure that the architecture decisions are being executed and the team is following coding standards and architecture guidelines.
- Ensure technical knowledge sharing between development teams on related or similar projects.
- Lead the research on specific topics, experiment with various technologies, and provide recommendations based on your findings.
- Constantly develop yourself and the team in technology advancements, research new approaches, tools and best practices in the software architecture and design space. Suggest improvements to our technology stack to optimize it for strategic growth and competitive advantage.
- Proactively identify technical debt and product areas that require attention or improvement at the architecture level.
Good to have:
- Experience to build a PHP framework from scratch
- Knowledge of Scrum/Agile
- Experience to work with ELK stack.
- Knowledge of python is plus.
- Understanding of package manager tool like composer/npm.
- Experience with ReactJs or other Javascript frameworks.
