The Lead Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based database systems within a shared service industry. This role will lead a team of DBAs, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of databases while driving the adoption of best practices in database management. Responsibilities: Database Architecture and Design: Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based database solutions. Ensure database architecture aligns with business objectives and industry standards. Lead the transition of on-premises databases to cloud platforms. Team Leadership and Management: Manage and mentor a team of database administrators. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance reviews. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and reliability. Implement strategies for database tuning and query optimization. Conduct regular performance reviews and capacity planning. Security and Compliance: Ensure databases are secure and compliant with industry regulations. Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans. Ensure regular backups are performed and recovery procedures are tested. Manage disaster recovery planning and execution. Automation and Scripting: Automate routine database administration tasks. Develop scripts for database maintenance, monitoring, and management. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform for database deployments. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Cloud Team ,Security team , and other stakeholders. Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise. Communicate database-related issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems and processes. Generate regular reports on database performance, usage, and incidents. Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders. Qualifications: Education: BE /B.Tech (Computer Science/IT ). Experience: 6+ years of experience in multiple database administration (Oracle ,Postgres, Mysql, MS SQL ,Dynamo DB ,Redis) . 3+ years of experience with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL). Proven experience in a leadership role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. Strong understanding of database security and compliance requirements.,
