Job Description

    As an Officer - Ground Support Department (GSD), you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management and operation of ground support equipment (GSE) and processes. You will coordinate daily activities, support maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards to enhance ground handling efficiency across airport operations. Key Responsibilities Ground Support Operations: Oversee the use and availability of ground support equipment (GSE), ensuring they are operational and efficiently utilized. Coordinate with operations teams to meet ground handling requirements for flights, including passenger and cargo operations. Monitor daily operations and address any issues related to GSE usage or allocation promptly. Maintenance and Compliance: Assist in planning and implementing maintenance schedules for GSE to minimize downtime. Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance with operational standards. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team for prompt resolution. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and inspection schedules. Prepare reports on operational efficiency, equipment performance, and compliance metrics. Ensure proper documentation of safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Coordination and Support: Liaise with ground handling teams, technical teams, and airport authorities to ensure smooth operations. Assist in training ground staff on proper equipment usage and operational procedures. Support the implementation of operational improvements and safety initiatives within GSD. Requirements Educational Qualifications: Bachelors degree or diploma in Aviation, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Experience: 2-4 years of experience in ground support operations or equipment management. Prior experience in aviation or airport operations is preferred. Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of ground support equipment (GSE) and operational processes. Proficiency in maintaining and analyzing operational and maintenance records. Good communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams. Problem-solving and time management abilities to address operational challenges.
