Job Description
- Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector to join Siemens Limited, Gurgaon on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in the inspection and review of mechanical items, vendor assessment, new vendor enrollment, and Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) review. The role is critical in ensuring that all mechanical components and systems meet company and industry standards, while also supporting vendor quality management. Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and reviews of mechanical equipment, components, and systems for compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Perform vendor assessments and assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new vendors to ensure they meet Siemens" quality requirements. Review and verify engineering drawings, technical documents, and material certifications. Assess and review Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) with vendors to ensure alignment with project quality requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions for any non-conformities or deviations. Document inspection results, generate quality reports, and maintain proper records. Conduct audits and assessments to maintain quality standards across the supply chain. Work closely with procurement, engineering, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues. Qualifications: 8-12 years of experience in mechanical quality inspection, vendor assessment, and QAP review. Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and quality standards. Experience with vendor management, including evaluation, performance assessment, and quality assurance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. Hands-on experience with inspection tools and techniques for mechanical items. Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Additional Skills: Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality compliance. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor management. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with Siemens mechanical systems and vendor quality processes is an advantage. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
