Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience, specializing in data engineering, data analysis, and visualization. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, playing a crucial role in the development of data solutions while evolving into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) over time. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex findings through compelling visualizations.
Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering:
- Create and maintain complex SQL queries based on business needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of database structures and optimization.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and quality.
- Data Analysis:
- Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define analytical objectives and provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights.
- Analysis to Insights:
- Translate raw data into meaningful insights, using a combination of analytical skills and industry knowledge.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that showcase key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide a clear understanding of business metrics.
- Insights to Action:
- Collaborate with business teams to interpret analytical findings and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Visualization Expertise:
- Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports using industry-leading visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Ensure data visualizations adhere to best practices, promoting effective communication and understanding.
- Hands-On Development and SME:
- Actively participate in the development of data solutions, maintaining a hands-on approach to stay connected with evolving technologies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Healthcare data analytics over time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and data warehousing, with a preference for candidates with experience in healthcare.
- Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent programming skills, preferably in languages such as R, Python or SQL.
- Strong presentation, communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.
