Job Description
Job Summary
The AWS Technical Lead will oversee the planning, development, and management of cloud-based and on-premises datacenter infrastructure projects. This role involves leading a team of cloud engineers and datacenter specialists, ensuring adherence to best practices in design, architecture, and implementation, and collaborating with various departments to align cloud and datacenter strategies with business objectives.
Years of experience needed 9 - 14 years (10 years in Datacenter Infrastructure Support with min 5 years in AWS cloud platform)
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and VPC, as well as extensive experience with on-premises infrastructure solutions like VMware, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS storage systems, and enterprise networking. Strong understanding of networking, security, and DevOps practices.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing complex infrastructure projects.
Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles and experienced collaboration with finance teams to manage budgets and forecasts.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in both cloud and on-premises environments.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
Management Skills:
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure to support business applications and services.
Cloud Cost Optimization: Implement and maintain FinOps practices to manage cloud expenditure, monitor spending patterns, and allocate resources efficiently.
Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, development, and operations teams to align cloud strategies with overarching business objectives.
Security and Compliance: Ensure all cloud operations adhere to stringent security standards and compliance requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud resources to ensure high availability and reliability.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest AWS services, tools, and best practices to continually enhance cloud infrastructure and financial operations.
Good understanding of Unix, Windows in the virtualized environment, Logical understanding of Network infrastructure in datacenter domain
In depth knowledge in Managing the datacenter technologies and Service improvement plans
Understand the automation and transformation lever to drive the delivery SMEs.
Qualification:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience - 10 years in Datacenter Infrastructure Support with min 5 years in AWS cloud platform.
Certifications Needed:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certifications are preferred.
