Cloud Engineer @ S&P Global Market

The Team: The Cloud Engineering Automation team is involved for governing and maintaining the Cloud Blueprints Program - an inner-source initiative that creates and maintains reusable components to support cloud migrations and application modernization efforts across S&P Global. Our team develops and maintains critical infrastructure components including Terraform modules, CI/CD templates, and automation solutions that are used organization wide.

The Impact: As a key member of our team, you'll help shape the future of cloud infrastructure at S&P Global by creating and maintaining foundational blueprints that enable teams across the organization to efficiently deploy and manage cloud resources. Your work will directly impact the success of major technology migration efforts and application modernization initiatives across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cloud blueprints supporting migration and modernization initiatives

• Engineer cloud build and deployment patterns

• Contribute to and maintain Terraform modules for AWS infrastructure

• Support and troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline implementations

• Ensure alignment with enterprise security standards and compliance

• Identify and implement process improvements

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the Cloud Blueprints community

• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and champion agile methodologies

What We're Looking For:

Your expertise:

• 6+ years' experience in IT systems engineering, DevOps, and/or Cloud operations

• Strong AWS expertise and hands-on experience

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (particularly Terraform)

• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities

Bonus if you also have:

• Experience with Azure and/or GCP

• Professional cloud certifications

• Experience with inner-source or open-source projects

• Knowledge of container technologies

• Experience with multiple CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
