Test Automation Engineer @ IT Convergence

Role & responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Test Automation Development

• Develop and maintain automated test cases based on user stories, existing functional test cases and project requirements.
• Prioritize, schedule, and execute automated tests using team-approved tools.
• Design and enhance the test automation scripts to support integration, scheduled regression, and on-demand test execution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven experience in developing automation scripts based on functional test case requirements.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional development and testing teams across multiple geographies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good understanding of continuous integration (CI) processes and experience with build and deployment automation tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience across all phases of software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin language.
• Proficiency in Selenium for test automation (required); experience with OpenText LeanFT is a plus.
• Experience using test management tools like Azure DevOps (required).
• Strong expertise in REST API testing using RestAssured.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Azure Repos, and Azure Pipelines.
• Advanced knowledge of the Java ecosystem, particularly Selenium, TestNG, and Maven (required).
