Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects, ensure functionality, and verify compliance with specifications.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and project specifications.
- Identify, document, and prioritize defects, and work closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.
- Utilize testing tools and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in testing and automation to continuously improve testing processes.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in testing methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide valuable insights on quality assurance processes.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of proven experience in manual testing of software applications.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test planning, and test case design.
- Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) and experience in creating automated test scripts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Perform basic API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
