Job Description
- Job Title: Software Tester / QA Engineer. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for software applications to ensure quality and functionality. Identify, record, and track defects in the product using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Perform regression, functional, integration, system, and acceptance testing. Conduct performance and load testing to ensure software stability under various conditions. Review system requirements and technical documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy in testing. Report on testing progress, defects, and test results, providing detailed feedback to the development team. Perform root cause analysis of defects and recommend solutions for improvement. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, testing methodologies, and best practices. Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance testing processes and software quality. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. Experience with test case design, execution, and bug tracking. Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, or other automated testing frameworks. Hands-on experience with manual testing and the ability to create test scripts. Basic understanding of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Good written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in performance, load, and stress testing. Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) processes and tools. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification is a plus. Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.
