Job Description
- Responsibilities: Physically loads and unloads cargo, luggage, and mail onto and off aircraft, using equipment like forklifts and conveyors.
- Other Duties: May include sorting, storing, and securing cargo, as well as assisting with weighing and balancing the aircraft.
- Work Environment: Works outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Responsibilities: Manages and coordinates the transportation, handling, and documentation of freight shipments.
- Other Duties: May include ensuring on-time collection and delivery of shipments, completing paperwork, and advising clients on shipping options.
- Collaboration: Works with freight forwarders, customs officials, and other transportation professionals.
- Responsibilities: Ensures the safe and efficient handling and storage of cargo and baggage.
- Other Duties: May include developing loading plans, supervising handlers, checking equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations.
- Supervision: May supervise junior staff and delegate duties.
