To meet the requirements of the business, the candidate will actively participates in the design and architecture of the application or its components propose appropriate solution to use and promotes re-usability of existing components. The candidate will be part of the transformation program of the company and key to internalize the knowledge. The candidate should have deep knowledge of systems and applications under him/her control to define their evolution, evaluate the impact of regulations or new business requirements, manage the changes and collaborate in the analysis and implementation of approved projects. Candidate will also participate in the application maintenance tasks. The candidates will work on applications based on mainframe technology (JCL/Cobol/Cics/DB2/MQ). Senior Engineer will cover: Knowledge internalization Functional design, technical design and programming New projects, enhancements and maintenance of a specific for a set of applications IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance Application changes are aligned with the application strategy Identification and management of risk and issues associated with the application Maximum operational availability and stability Cost efficiency People Management The candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in working with global and local teams, managing vendors and/or 3rd parties. The candidates will be able to work in a collaborative environment, organized in scrum, therefore scrum master experience or scrum working is desirable. Your skills and experience At least 5-10 years of experience in SAS development and maintenance of banking business applications. Strong knowledge and experience as a Mainframe system programmer and software engineer. This includes Base SAS, Macros , Debugging SAS Programs, Tunning, Report Generations. Strong knowledge experience with standard Mainframe applications and technologies, including Cobol, SQL, DB2, Websphere MQ, CICS, JCL and TSO. Good to have experience in system architecture, application design and programming, with a focus is on system integration and web technologies including Web Services, XML, JSON and XLST. Problem solving: Ability to manage unexpected events; control and deal with them quickly and efficiently. When confronted with a problem, you will need to collect information, analyze situation, point out solutions and apply them to solve perfectly in reasonable time. Knowledge internalization Functional design, technical design and programming New projects, enhancements and maintenance of a specific for a set of applications IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance Application changes are aligned with the application strategy Identification and management of risk and issues associated with the application Very good communication skills are required to consult applications teams in choosing the best approach for setting up interfaces between server and Mainframe systems. Education/Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, IT or similar. Master recommended English proficiency required Experience and knowledge of banking business and its operations Knowledge and experience in systems and end-to-end processes related to financial agents and intermediaries Experience in JCL/Cobol/Cics/DB2/MQ analysis and programming is a must Experience in application solutions from technological perspective. Ability to understand key aspects of technical platforms and infrastructure, generate ideas and create effective solutions Solid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns and software architecture Development background and demonstrated experience as analyst / technical lead Experience on analysis of existing systems from high level architecture to application code review Experience with technical documentation, architectural diagram, components, flows, use cases Demonstrable DevOps-oriented mind-set Experience with testing/QA tools Person with solid technical knowledge and able to understand complex business processes and workflows Teamwork capacity with multidisciplinary teams Leadership and communication skills Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts and plan tasks Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Knowledge of methodologies in applications development (e.g. Agile) Experience as scrum master and knowledge about the entire application development life cycle (planning, budget, approval, sourcing, monitoring and implementation) will be a plus How well support you Training and development to help you excel in your career.
