This role involves leading the Maintenance Department to ensure high equipment availability, operational efficiency, and safety across the manufacturing site. The manager is accountable for executing maintenance strategies, managing budgets, improving reliability, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a plant maintenance plan in alignment with production needs.
Lead and manage a team of technicians, supervisors, and contractors.
Ensure compliance with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), EMS, and IATF standards.
Handle small improvement projects and infrastructure service issues.
Conduct root cause analysis to improve asset reliability and performance.
Manage maintenance budgets, procurement of MRO materials, and vendor coordination.
Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and team capability.
Support cross-functional departments (Production, Procurement, Safety) for smooth plant operations.
Reporting & Leadership:
Reports to senior plant management.
Directly manages 23 staff, with a team of ~10.
Holds budget responsibility (approx. 1 million EUR).
Inherits an established system with the opportunity to lead transition and improvement efforts.
Candidate Profile:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in engineering/maintenance roles.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and project management skills.
Well-versed in compliance, reliability engineering, and cost optimization.
