Job Description
The GTA team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer, Frontend. In this individual contributor role , you are expected to be the technical subject matter expert , mentor, and industry leader for creating highly performant, scalable, and user-friendly web and mobile applications that exceed customer and business needs. You need to possess outstanding development experience in React Native, React, NextJs, Typescript Node.js with a deep passion for design and customer experience. Also, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products and systems with responsibilities including leading the creation and maintenance of high-quality code , aligning it with business goals and scalability requirements, and architecting complex software systems to ensure performance, security, and scalability needs are met. Additionally, the role involves providing hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers , collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and establishing and enforcing coding standards through thorough code reviews.

Some of this role s key responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Lead, own, and/or support the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications using React Native and React
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver software products that meet business goals and user needs
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in best practices, design patterns, and development methodologies
- Providing technical guidance and expertise to ensure the highest level of quality and performance in our front-end applications
- Enhancing usage, metrics, and logging details
- Support CI/CD effort, configuration, and enhancements
- Support in release, deployment activities, and production support rotation
- Staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of front-end development and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team
- Help design end-to-end system architecture for data-intensive applications
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers, applied researchers and data scientists to iteratively improve integration our GenAI/ML services and refine MLOps practice
- Support production operations by participating in on-call rotations
What you'll bring:
- You have 10+ years experience in designing and developing highly performant, scalable, and user-friendly web and mobile applications
- You have a bachelors/masters degree in computer science, information technology, or related area
- Expert level knowledge of React, React Native, NextJs, Typescript Node.js
- Experience in writing effective test cases and test automation
- Experience in implementing QE strategy, frameworks and automation for mobile and web applications.
- Experience releasing mobile solutions to App Store and Google play store , and web solutions to production
- Experience taking ideas to implementation
- Deep understanding, and experience of debugging issues in mobile and web applications
- Experience with data storage and data retrieval
- Experience with authorization and authentication frameworks in implementing those into mobile and web applications
- Experience with version control using Git in collaboration settings
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize application performance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A good understanding of and experience integrating with AI/ML/GenAI services and components
- Excitement about delivering distributed machine learning systems at scale in production
- You are thorough and detail oriented
- You believe in the importance of establishing work standards and leveraging automations
- You have a history of collaboration, openness, honesty, timely decision making, and clear communication in both verbal and written forms
- You embrace lifelong learning - always learning new technologies and techniques. You are also engaged in the open-source communities to both find answers and help others

Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 6 years experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications...
Master s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years experience in software engineering or related area
