Job Description
If you are a Specialist in IP Networks & Configuration Management, then this role is for you, will bring in your expertise to ensure end-to-end fault, incident, and problem management, focusing on resolution within SLA and OLA targets.
You have:
- B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 7+ years of experience in telecom network operations.
- Experience in leading end-to-end network projects, coordinating with hardware/software vendors to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Expertise in routing (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and switching technologies.
- High-level knowledge of Juniper JUNOS, Cisco IOS/Wireless, F5 Load Balancers, and broad exposure to VoIP, transmission systems, and various operating systems (Linux, Solaris, Windows, HP Open VMS).
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and internet-related protocols (HTTP, SMTP, LDAP, etc.), along with medium-level scripting skills on Unix-based systems.
- Experience in network automation using Python/Ansible and experienced with diagnostic and monitoring tools like Wireshark, Netcool, HPOV NNM, Cisco Works, and Junos Space.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledge in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, applying deep functional expertise and industry best practices.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCSP, CCIE, JNCIP.
- Resolve complex faults and major service outages, ensuring SLA compliance and initiating preventive maintenance.
- Investigate and solve high-impact incidents using specialized knowledge and analytical skills.
- Plan and execute complex problem resolutions and configuration changes.
- Develop Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for medium- to high-risk operational tasks.
- Liaise with internal teams, third parties, and customers to manage critical incidents.
- Translate global procedures into customer-specific operational guidelines.
- Lead functional teams by allocating tasks, coaching, and supporting performance assessments.
- Monitor incident queues and take corrective actions to prevent SLA breaches.
