Power Bi Developer @ IT Convergence

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Report and Dashboard Development: Design and develop high-quality reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations using Power BI, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize existing reports and universes for performance improvements, including query optimization and index tuning.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI platforms, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers and other team members. Assist in setting best practices and coding standards for Power BI development.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for all developed solutions, including design specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing support for Power BI users, investigating issues and delivering timely resolutions.
• Strong experience in Power BI development, including report creation, dashboard design, and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with other BI platforms like Tableau or QlikView.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and OLAP cubes.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and development processes.
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices in BI.
