Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in database management, a deep understanding of open-source technologies, and cloud services. You will be responsible for maintaining system stability, protecting against cyber threats, and facilitating efficient collaboration between development and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Configuration and Management:
o Configure and manage various databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and others.
o Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
2. Database Replication:
o Implement and maintain database replication across multiple servers for data redundancy
and high availability.
3. Tool and Technology Expertise:
o Utilize various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services to enhance system
performance, reliability, and scalability.
4. Cybersecurity and System Security:
o Implement security best practices to safeguard systems against cyber threats.
o Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and apply necessary patches
and updates.
5. Issue Identification and Resolution:
o Identify technical problems and anomalies, and develop software updates and fixes to
address them.
o Troubleshoot system issues and provide prompt resolutions.
6. Collaboration with Development Teams:
o Collaborate with software developers and engineers to ensure that development processes
align with established best practices.
o Facilitate the seamless deployment and operation of software applications.
7. Load Balancer Implementation:
o Implement load balancers to distribute traffic efficiently and ensure system scalability.
o Configure, monitor, and optimize load balancers for high availability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in database management and replication.
Strong familiarity with open-source technologies and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in cybersecurity measures and threat mitigation.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience in collaborating with development teams to facilitate DevOps processes.
Knowledge of load balancer configuration and management. Preferred Skills:
Certifications in relevant fields such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar.
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Shell, Ansible).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
Strong communication skills to coordinate efforts between different teams.
