Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Location: Pune
Experience: 2 - 4 Years Manual and Automation (Majorly Automation)
Education: BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science/IT
Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium, Katalon Studio (Core Java), or Playwright (C#), and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for both web and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on project requirements.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, or Playwright.
- Collaborate with developers and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
- Perform regression testing, functional testing, and integration testing on web and mobile applications.
- Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the automation framework development and support continuous improvement of automation processes.
- Participate in test planning, reviews, and sprint meetings within an Agile team.
- Ensure the quality and stability of software products through effective testing strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in manual and automation testing.
- Proficient in manual testing techniques including functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Katalon Studio, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and CI/CD tools.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Strong experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
- Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Eligibility Criteria
- BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (Minimum 60% aggregate)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
