About the Role
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with experience in both manual testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to join our team. This role involves working within a sprint team to ensure that GRC products meet high-quality standards and fulfill documented requirements. In addition to collaborating with the development team, the QA Engineer will assist the implementation team by testing solutions to ensure customer-specific requirements are met during implementation projects. Experience with Xray or similar test management tools is essential.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering a seamless product experience for both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance within Sprint Teams:
- Collaborate with the development team within Agile sprints to ensure features are developed to high-quality standards.
- Validate that the product meets defined requirements through manual testing and automated tests when applicable.
- Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage for all scenarios.
- Implement and advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Actively participate in sprint ceremonies such as planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Customer Implementation Testing:
- Collaborate with the implementation team to test customer-specific configurations and customizations.
- Validate that delivered solutions meet customer requirements as part of implementation services.
- Document and report test results to both internal stakeholders and customers.
Test Management & Reporting:
- Use Xray for test case management, tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain and update test cases to align with evolving requirements and product updates.
- Provide detailed bug reports and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
Process & Quality Advocacy:
- Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices throughout the SDLC.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Implementation Specialists to clarify requirements and improve testability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in testing processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including both manual testing and TDD.
- Hands-on experience with Xray or similar test management tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile and SDLC processes.
- Ability to create and execute detailed test cases and scripts for both functional and non-functional testing.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality deliverables.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with GRC platforms or tools (e.g., RSA Archer, ServiceNow GRC).
- Experience testing customer implementations and configurations in SaaS environments.
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger) and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Basic knowledge of programming languages used for TDD (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Certifications such as:
- ISTQB Certified Tester
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP for Agile testing experience
- Xray Test Management Specialist
