Job Description

About the Role:

Square Business Services Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer / IT Executive to join our growing IT team. This role focuses on managing desktop infrastructure, resolving technical issues, and ensuring a secure, efficient, and reliable computing environment. You will be the go-to expert for end-user support, system administration, and day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

System & Network Support:

  • Provide end-user support for desktop/laptop hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to systems, applications, and network connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and enterprise software.

System Administration:

  • Manage Active Directory, user provisioning, and access control.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.

Network & Security Management:

  • Support LAN/WAN infrastructure including basic configuration and maintenance.
  • Implement and manage endpoint security tools including antivirus and firewalls.

Asset & Vendor Management:

  • Maintain IT inventory for hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and warranty claims.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Create and maintain IT documentation including configurations, network diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with IT policies and ISO standards.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams to support IT requirements across departments.
  • Escalate issues and work collaboratively with senior IT staff for resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in desktop/system support; BPO industry experience is an advantage.
  • Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA A+/Network+, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
    • Knowledge of networking protocols, Active Directory, and endpoint security tools.
    • Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
