Senior Java Developer - Technology @ SAP India

Summary

You will be a member of the Technology & Innovation Central Engineering Master Data Integration team. Central Engineering addresses the overall architectural and conceptional questions to ensure engineering excellence throughout SAP. The team is the operational backbone of Juergen Mueller?s Chief Technology Officer function. It covers core functions such as Intelligent Enterprise, North Star Architecture, Domain Model Alignment, Master Data Management, Extensibility, Developer Experience, Kubernetes, Open Source, as well as Strategic Projects.

The Role

• Responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team. Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues.
• Constantly improves own work methods to gain state - of - the - art agile software engineering skills.
• Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
• Has advanced overall product and technical knowledge and shares expertise within and across team and organization.
• Has advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards.

Role Requirements

• BE / BTech / MCA / MS / MTech in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology.
• Excellent programming know - how in JAVA/JEE/JavaScript with sound knowledge in Object Oriented Programming Principles, Design Patterns, Software Architecture
• Experience in various Web based Java technologies and frameworks like Spring, Olingo, Service Oriented Architecture, oData, Web Services like SOAP, REST, etc.,
• Experience/exposure to usage of Open Source technologies, MySQL, Postgresql
• Understanding of building scalable and distributed cloud Applications using cutting edge Technologies
• Working knowledge of agile development principles and tools in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
• Experience with the development of distributed parallel, transactional, multi - tenant systems
• Experience using Micro service Architecture, API - driven development or Cloud Foundry
• Experience with using the Design Thinking methodology for user - centered software design
• 5 - 8 years of experience in Software Development
