Job Description
End to end experience in designing and deploying models and look out end to end productionize pipeline
Deep understanding on Responsible use of AI
Understanding on bias detection and mitigation strategy
Work on business analysis requests around different business problems
Creating analytical findings for the internal clients of UHG as per specifications received from them using information in UHG Specific databases.
Engage in client communications for all important functions including data understanding/exploration, strategizing solutions etc.
Mentoring & Grooming Junior Data Scientists
Lead and Drive Knowledge sharing session within the team
Own the technical deliveries of the team
Perform quality checks on the analysis and data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before sending it across to the clients both internal and external
Work with Senior team members to develop new capabilities for the team

Possess problem solving approach
Positions in this function produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from unstructured, diverse datasets typically measured in gigabytes or larger. Applies knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement. Uses a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive and prescriptive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data. Works with analytics and statistical software such as SQL, R, Python, Hadoop and others to perform analysis and interpret data. This function is not intended for employees performing the following work: less complex analysis on small data sets; rules-based algorithmic or descriptive analytics; development of big data infrastructure.

Qualifications - Internal
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Strong problem-solving skills
At least 7+ years of business experience in analytics, machine learning projects in Business Intelligence/Business Analysis space
Excellent understanding of basic statistics and advance mathematics to analyze and understand data patterns
Good understanding of analytics tools: R, Python, SQL, Databricks & cloud technologies
Ability to learn and adapt to new data technologies
Good knowledge around Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics techniques like Hypothesis testing, Probability, Supervised & Unsupervised Learnings
Ability in slicing and dicing of data structures, Natural Language Processing and good to have fundamental understanding on Gen-AI & Large Language Models
Good problem-solving & communication skills
Act in a strategic capacity as a senior technical expert for all current engagements
Lead project independently & with minimal guidance, including high level client communication and scope planning.
