Design Engineer-Civil @ Sterling And Wilson

Job Description

• Develop civil designs for solar power projects, including site layouts, grading plans, foundations, access roads, drainage systems, and other related infrastructure.
• Use design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D) to create detailed drawings and plans.
• Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal site layouts and configurations.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, structural engineers, and project managers to ensure integrated and cohesive design solutions.
• Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical input on civil design aspects.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to specify and procure materials and equipment.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., local building codes, environmental regulations).
• Prepare and submit permit applications and other documentation required for project approval. Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design related issues or modifications.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, verify installations, and ensure design compliance.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. - 3-8 years of experience in civil design engineering, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.

Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, site development, and infrastructure design.
