Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Building & Leadership:
- Build and mentor a cybersecurity and zero trust testing team.
- Define team structure and assign leads across key security domains.
- Drive upskilling initiatives and internal POCs to develop reusable frameworks and accelerators.
- Capability Development:
- Design and implement security testing strategies covering:
- API security testing
- Cloud and Infrastructure security
- Endpoint and IoT device security
- Network & data flow testing
- Application & DevSecOps security validation
- Integrate Zero Trust principles into testing methodologies.
- Customer Engagement:
- Lead pre-sales technical discussions and contribute to proposals.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into actionable testing strategies.
- Create demoable products or accelerators to showcase capabilities.
- Test Automation & Tools:
- Develop security test automation using tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Postman, Playwright, Wireshark, Nessus, etc.
- Use scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and CI/CD integrations for scalable test execution.
- Implement AI-assisted techniques for threat modeling and vulnerability detection.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Provide executive-level test reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (8+ years) in cybersecurity, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of Zero Trust principles and security testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with tools for penetration testing, SAST/DAST, threat modeling, and cloud security.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and modern DevSecOps pipelines.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, IAM, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Industry certifications preferred (CISSP, OSCP, CEH, CCSK, or Zero Trust certifications).
Nice to Have:
- Experience in productizing security testing capabilities.
- Exposure to AI/ML use in security testing or threat detection.
- Ability to coach and develop junior engineers across various cybersecurity domains.
