Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Content Creation: Draft, edit, and deliver high-quality documents such as technical reports, proposals, manuals, presentations, and marketing materials tailored to Oil & Gas workflows and processes.
Collaborative Writing: Partner with technical teams to gather insights and ensure content accuracy while translating complex concepts into relatable and actionable language.
Narrative Development: Craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, from technical experts to executive stakeholders and external clients.
Industry Alignment: Conduct thorough research to integrate industry-specific terminology, trends, and technologies into documentation.
Quality Assurance: Proofread, review, and refine documents to ensure consistency, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to branding and regulatory standards.
Innovation and Creativity: Develop innovative document formats and layouts that enhance the readability and presentation of complex information.
Project Management: Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
Bachelors or Masters degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in technical or creative writing, with a focus on the Oil & Gas industry or other engineering sectors.
Proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts and craft engaging, reader-friendly documents.
Strong command of Oil & Gas workflows, terminology, and industry-specific challenges.
Proficiency in document design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, or Canva.
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in Oil & Gas documentation.
Ability to write for diverse audiences, including engineers, executives, and external stakeholders.
Experience integrating visuals like charts, diagrams, and infographics into content.
Knowledge of emerging technologies in the Oil & Gas sector to enrich document narratives.
Certifications in technical writing or content strategy are a plus.
