Job Description:
We are hiring a highly skilled ArcGIS Mapping Lead with over 3 years of hands-on experience in geospatial data management, digital mapping, and GIS project leadership. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical GIS expertise, practical knowledge of AutoCAD, HTML/CSS. This role is ideal for a motivated professional capable of independently driving large-scale mapping initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end GIS mapping projects using ArcGIS tools and platforms
- Plan, design, and implement spatial data workflows to meet mapping project requirements
- Conduct spatial analysis, geospatial modeling, and generate thematic maps for presentations and reporting
- Collaborate with survey teams, civil engineers, and project managers to acquire and integrate field data into GIS systems
- Ensure spatial accuracy, completeness, and consistency of map layers and databases
- Perform georeferencing, digitization, data transformation, and coordinate system adjustments
- Integrate GIS data with CAD drawings and web-based mapping platforms
- Oversee the creation of detailed map outputs, dashboards, and interactive web GIS applications
- Manage GIS-related databases including metadata documentation, version control, and backups
- Train and guide junior GIS analysts and mapping technicians
- Ensure timely execution and delivery of GIS tasks in compliance with project deadlines and quality standards
- Generate detailed technical documentation and mapping reports for internal and client use
Required Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Advanced expertise in ArcGIS (Desktop, Pro, Online, and Enterprise)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for integrating GIS with CAD-based civil or architectural designs
- Strong front-end web skills: HTML, CSS for basic customization of web-based maps or dashboards
- Knowledge of spatial data formats: shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, raster, and vector data
- Ability to work with GPS, drone, or satellite-based datasets and perform geospatial analysis
- Experience with GIS database management (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, File Geodatabases)
- Familiarity with QGIS and open-source GIS tools (optional but a plus)
- Experience with utilities, infrastructure, or municipal mapping projects
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to handle large datasets and complex workflows
- Strong documentation and reporting skills using MS Office or GIS tools
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have :
- Minimum 3 years of experience in GIS mapping, analysis, and project coordination
- Degree/Diploma in Geography, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Planning, or a related discipline
- Experience leading GIS teams or independent mapping projects preferred
- Field experience in data collection, land mapping, or infrastructure planning is a bonus
