Role Responsibilities Lead a team of data engineers and analysts in delivering high-quality data solutions using Snowflake and DataStage. Design and implement ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration and transformation. Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines and architecture. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes for enhanced throughput and efficiency. Establish best practices for data management, governance, and quality assurance. Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering their professional development. Evaluate new technologies and tools that can enhance data processing capabilities. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders. Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives. Develop documentation and training materials for data processes and systems. Identify and resolve data-related issues and discrepancies efficiently. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for integrated data solutions across departments. Act as the primary point of contact for data-related projects and initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Snowflake and DataStage. Proven experience leading teams and managing projects in a data-centric environment. Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. Expertise in SQL and data modeling techniques. Experience with data governance and quality assurance practices. Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and services. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and drive team performance. Experience in Agile methodologies and practices. Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Passion for learning new technologies and techniques in data management. Commitment to achieving high-quality results and continuous improvement.
