As an International Business Development Sr.Executive in the pharmaceutical export industry, your primary responsibility is to drive growth and expand the company's international market presence. This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, and international business practices. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring compliance with global regulations.
Role & responsibilities
1. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential export markets for pharmaceutical products. Analyze market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements in target countries. Assess market demand and potential sales opportunities for the company's product portfolio.
2. Business Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategic business plan for international expansion. Define short-term and long-term goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify and prioritize target markets and customer segments. 3. Partner Identification and Relationship Building: Identify potential distributors, agents, and partners in target markets. Negotiate and establish business relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Collaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial agreements and distribution channels.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Position : International Business Development Sr.Executive Department/Area of Work : IBD Work Location : NEWEDGE Office at Bodakdev, Ahmedabad. Total Exp. : 5 to 7 Years for Executive in IBD Reporting to : Department Head Ensure compliance with international pharmaceutical regulations, including licensing, import/export permits, and quality standards. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and adapt business strategies accordingly.
5. Sales and Revenue Generation: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients and partners.
6. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the company's pharmaceutical product portfolio and their unique selling points. Train and educate partners and distributors on the company's products and services.
7. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market analysis, and progress toward business development goals. Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed. 8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and supply chain, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and compliant product shipments.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in business, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in international business development, preferably in the pharmaceutical export industry.
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to travel internationally as needed. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for market research and sales analysis
