We are looking for a skilled Concrete Design Manager to design tubular concrete towers
for wind turbines. You will be responsible for the structural design, analysis, and optimization
of wind turbine towers, ensuring they meet safety, performance, and cost efficiency
standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Analysis:
Lead the structural design of tubular concrete towers for wind turbines, ensuring robustness
and cost-effectiveness.
Perform detailed analysis for various load conditions (wind, seismic, etc.) using advanced
software (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.).
Ensure designs meet relevant standards and codes (Eurocode, AISC, DNV-GL).
Material & Mix Design:
Select appropriate concrete grades and reinforcement strategies.
Develop concrete mixes to ensure strength, durability, and performance in challenging
environments (e.g., offshore).
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work with mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering teams for integrated design solutions.
Coordinate with construction teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth tower production
and installation.
Innovation & Development:
Research and apply new materials and techniques to improve tower performance and
sustainability.
Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in concrete design and wind turbine towers.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all designs comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Conduct inspections and maintain quality control through the design and construction
phases.
Site Assessments:
Visit project sites for assessments and design adjustments as needed.
Optimize designs for cost, installation efficiency, and local environmental factors.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or related field).
Experience: 8 to 10 Years in concrete design, preferably in wind turbine tower projects or
large-scale infrastructure.
Skills:
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ANSYS, Abaqus).
Proficiency in Concrete Tower and Foundation Designs.
Strong knowledge of concrete design principles, material selection, and durability
considerations.
Familiarity with wind turbine design standards (IEC, DNV-GL, Eurocode).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with onshore Concrete Towers for Wind Turbines.
Offshore experience on Concrete Towers for Wind Turbines, will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of sustainable concrete design practices.
Certifications (e.g., PE license, LEED).
Location : Chennai with occasional site visits
