Job Description
Key Responsibilities :- Plugin Development : Develop custom plugins to extend the functionality of IBM ELM tools, integrating them with other systems and tools as needed.- API Integration : Design and consume RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between IBM ELM and other systems.- Scripting and Automation : Utilize Python scripting to automate tasks and improve efficiency.- Version Control : Manage code effectively using Git-based version control systems.- OSLC Understanding : Leverage Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) to integrate IBM ELM with other tools and systems.- Agile Methodologies : Apply agile development principles, such as Scrum and Kanban, to deliver high-quality solutions.- Technical Documentation : Create clear and concise technical documentation for developed plugins.- Problem-Solving : Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to plugin development and integration.- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and product owners, to ensure successful project delivery.Required Skills and Experience :Technical Skills :- Strong proficiency in Java programming language- In-depth knowledge of IBM ELM tools (RTC, RQM, DOORS NG)- Proven experience in developing plugins for IBM ELM- Expertise in OSLC standards and protocols- Familiarity with RESTful API design and consumption- Proficiency in Git-based version control systems- Understanding of scripting languages, such as Python- Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Soft Skills :- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and commitment to quality- A passion for learning new technologies and toolsNice-to-Have Skills :- Experience with IBM ELM reporting and analytics- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker)- IBM ELM development certifications- Experience with cloud-based deployments (IBM Cloud)Education and Experience :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field- 6+ years of experience in IBM ELM plugin development
