Role & responsibilities :
Reporting and Collaboration:
- Reports to Principal
- Collaborates with IB PYP Coordinator
- Collaborates with Middle and Senior School Heads of National Curriculum
- Participate with school leadership on curriculum and assessment within school and the IBDP.
- Provide regular verbal and written feedback to Principal regarding program implementation for purposes of growth and improvement.
Admissions and Orientation:
- Admission of new students to the program through school visits, information sessions, and marketing materials.
- Seminar and orientations to the prospective parents of Class X students.
- Counselling for Admissions and subject choices.
- Counselling 10th grade students about IB Diploma requirements.
- Provide comprehensive information to parents about the Diploma Program and the milestones.
Resources and Support:
- Regularly update faculty and administration on IB matters related to the IB Diploma Program and all new/revised IB Diploma Program publications.
- Coordinate with the Librarian for Arranging Text books, reference books, e-resources, Lab equipments and other resources.
- Contribute to the promotion and development of the IBDP both within and outside the school.
- Regularly update faculty and administration on IB matters related to the IB Diploma Program and all new/revised IB Diploma Program publications.
- Documentation and evidence collection
- Attend conferences, workshops, and regional meetings.
- Sharing the communications from the IB.
- Registering facilitators for the relevant IB Professional development
Assessment and Examinations:
- Organize and moderate internal assessment according to the Diploma criteria.
- Set and monitor goals to improve IB student retention rates and IB exam results.
- Inform all concerned about assessment procedures and deadlines.
- Prepare timelines for submission of work to the IB.
- Registering students for session examinations
- Conduct Semester Examinations and Session examinations (written and oral)
- To make sure that all internal assessment materials are sent to respective examiners.
Responsibilities
- Mailing examination answer scripts to IB examiners on time.
- Organize distribution of results.
- Analyze and discuss subject wise reports with the Subject facilitators.
- Work with Principal to analyze results and adjust program delivery as necessary.
Finance and Budget:
- Manage the IB Diploma Program budget.
- Ensure all students are clear about the requirements and student fees associated with the IB Diploma Program.
Teaching and Leadership:
- Collaborative meetings with IB Facilitators, Subject Group facilitators meetings, DP Core facilitators meetings
- To ensure that all teachers are suitably qualified and trained in accordance with IB requirements.
- Provide support and information to teachers new to the IB, especially in pedagogy and assessment. Oversee the five-year review and Standards and Practices Section C implementation.
- Coordinate participation in Diploma workshops and professional learning.
- Remain current in knowledge of IB instructional and programmatic developments and current educational practices.
- Facilitate outcome-based collaborative planning, professional development, and meetings for teachers to develop teacher capacity.
- Coordinating and implementing Student Schedule and Assessment and Examination Schedule.
- Monitor students progress and coordinate support for those experiencing difficulty.
- DP Core : Coordinate with the CAS, EE and TOK Coordinator for the collaborative planning and resources.
Stakeholders: Parents
- Organize parent meetings to:
Advise parents on the suitability of the IB Program for their
child(ren).
Inform parents about the requirements of the IBDP.
Notify parents about their students progress.
Communicating with parents frequently
Keep parents apprised of their students progress in all subjects, the
Extended Essay, and the CAS program.
Address fears and concerns
IBDP Promotional Activities
- Appraise the Governing Body and Head of School for various promotional and
advertising activities for the admissions into IB Diploma Program.
- Getting the budget sanctioned for the promotional activities.
- Liaison with vendors and other stakeholders for the promotional activitie
Preferred candidate profile :
A bachelors degree, must have undergone IB Training. Min 10 years of teaching and min 3 years in IB.
Must possess strong technical skills with a good knowledge of networking and computers, must operate tally.
