Job Description
Junior Technician (ELECTRICAL/ MECHANICAL)
Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate with 18-24 months of industrial hands-on
experience, OR Diploma Certified with 12-18 months of industrial hands on experience
Mandatory to communicate in English language and important to have worked in different cultural areas adapting to the cultural work ethics
- Comply with HSE, Airport security, client, legal & other site requirements. Adhere all safetyrules, regulations and take appropriate precautions at all times during working hours. Will beresponsible to take reasonable care for their own health & safety. Also, ensure safety of otherswho may be affected by their acts or omissions.
- Shall not perform any "live work" in BHS. Always isolate affected and adjoining conveyors before starting any work as per operational or maintenance requirements. Usage of suitable PPE for work, safety fencing/cover/door opened for any work/reason must be closed immediately after completion of the task before machine is turned live. Shall report all incidents / accidents / near misses / hazards / abnormalities in the system or area to the Supervisor/HSE while working in BHS area.
- Performs daily checks during peak hours without touching any rotating or moving parts of theequipment and record the observation, submit to supervisor and take appropriate action as perthe priority. Escalate to supervisor if any other support is required.
- Executes preventive, corrective, breakdown maintenances and inspections according to the instruction given by the Supervisor with fully compliance to appropriate job plans, SOPs and site safety rules and regulations.
- Understanding all electrical & electronic components in the system, analyzing &troubleshooting of faults occurring in the system. And takes appropriate preventive andcorrective measures to solve frequent or repetitive failures. Analyze and seeks for continuousimprovements on the field.
- Takes charge of the tools required for the shift's job task and ensure their proper usage andmaintenance. And shall carry tool pouch with required tools during working hours
- Shall be responsible to maintain the spares from emergency kit of respective area. If any of thespare is utilized shall be escalated to supervisor. Also, ensure handing over faulty spares tostores.
- Ensure means of communications through Radio is available in line with the procedureapplicable and in close co-ordination with the control room and remain in close communicationwith area supervisor and other staff of BHS. And ensure the proper usage of radios.
- Shall report to the roster allocated BHS area on-time as per shift duty timings and participatein safety toolbox talk and ensure proper hand over and take over and follow-ups from relieverof same allocation/area.
- Shall be responsible to perform housekeeping as per the instructions of supervisor and keepingBHS system and surrounding area clean and tidy.
- Shall be responsible to handling of baggages such as fallen bags, non-IATA bags, odd/normalshape bags, clear and unclear bags as per the instruction from control room or supervisor.
