Python Software Developer @ Qentelli

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Developer with hands-on expertise in API development, Flask, SQL, and Golang. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Python internals, including core development concepts, and be well-versed in building scalable backend services. Experience in working with large datasets using Pandas, and secure application development using Django, is a must.

Role & responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as Flask and Django
2. Work with SQL databases to model, query, and optimize data access
3. Collaborate on backend components using Golang where necessary
4. Implement secure, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions
5. Use Django ORM efficiently for database operations
6. Work with large datasets using Pandas, focusing on performance and memory optimization
7. Optimize applications using multi-threading and multi-processing strategies
8. Ensure security best practices are implemented, especially in Django-based applications
9. Participate in code reviews, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD practices

Preferred candidate profile

1. 5+ years of professional Python development experience
2. Strong understanding of core Python concepts
3. Hands-on experience with REST API development lifecycle
4. Practical knowledge of Flask and Django frameworks
5. Experience with Django security features and version control tools
6. Proficient in SQL and database schema design
7. Solid knowledge of multi-threading vs. multi-processing in Python
8. Familiarity with Pandas and efficient data handling for large datasets
9. Exposure to Golang for backend development is a strong plus
10. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
