Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with expertise in DataVault modelling to join our data-driven team. The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing complex datasets, designing DataVault models, and working within the financial services domain to deliver actionable insights.
This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data modelling, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyse structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Work closely with business teams to translate their data needs into technical requirements and reports.
- Design and implement DataVault 2.0 models to ensure scalable, consistent, and efficient data integration and analysis.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure models are accurately implemented and optimized for performance.
- Apply financial services domain knowledge to deliver insights on key business functions such as risk, compliance, and performance analytics.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, Basel III).
- Create visually compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to communicate findings effectively.
- Provide ad-hoc and scheduled reports to meet business and operational needs.
- Continuously optimize queries, reports, and dashboards for performance and scalability.
- Adhere to data governance practices to ensure accuracy, quality, and security of data insights.
- Document processes, models, and analyses to share knowledge across teams.
- Contribute to the development of best practices in data analysis and modelling.
Requires Skills
- 6+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2+ years in DataVault modelling.
- Prior experience in the financial services domain is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with DataVault 2.0 methodology.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools like Python, R, or SAS.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery).
- Proficiency in creating dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of key financial metrics and regulatory requirements such as Basel III or SOX compliance.
- Experience with automation tools like WhereScape or VaultSpeed for DataVault modelling.
- Certifications such as Certified Data Vault Data Modeler (CDVDM), Power BI, or Tableau.
- Knowledge of metadata management, data quality, and governance frameworks.
- Data Engineering with expertise in Azure MS Fabric and Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with DataVault 2.0 architecture and principles
- Strong proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, and data modelling techniques
- Data Modelling, Canonical Model, Databricks, PL SQL, Power BI, R, and Python
