Job Description
- Role Overview: As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will provide strategic leadership and technical direction to Qmet Tech Foundation. You will play a critical role in advancing technologies from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 to TRL 7, ensuring successful commercialization and application of quantum sensing solutions. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Lead the technology team, spearheading critical initiatives in quantum sensing and metrology. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Project Oversight: Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to ensure seamless execution. Collaboration & Ecosystem Development: Promote a culture of teamwork and synergy among partner institutes, research organizations, stakeholders, and staff to efficiently fulfill shared service requirements. Operational Management: Contribute to the development and operational framework of the central facility, ensuring smooth functioning and efficiency. Fund Utilization Compliance: Ensure that financial resources are allocated appropriately, aligning with project goals and expenditure guidelines. Technology Commercialization: Evaluate quantum startups, oversee technology deliverables, and identify innovations ready for market adoption. Risk Management: Assess potential risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies. Facility Management: Oversee and optimize the operations of the quantum lab facility while contributing to the development and operational framework of the central facility. Qualification & Experience: Ph.D./Masters degree in Physics, Engineering, Quantum Technologies, or a related field with a minimum 10+ years of experience in electronics development/quantum technologies, metrology, or related scientific domains. Required Expertise: Proven expertise in transitioning technologies from TRL 4 to TRL 7 and managing commercialization processes. Experience in working with research institutions, startups, and commercialization teams. Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to oversee complex, multi disciplinary projects. Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies within high-tech R&D environments. Ability to manage laboratory operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.,
