Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Manage complex technical projects across multiple teams, including distributed teams and third-party vendors.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical requirements and actionable plans.
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation: project plans, risk logs, status reports, etc.
- Track and report on key metrics such as milestones, resource utilization, velocity, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups in Agile/Scrum or hybrid environments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication and escalation.
- Ensure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution and team productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a technical PM or engineering management role.
- Strong background in software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban methodologies.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps pipelines, APIs, and architecture best practices.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Trello, MS Teams, or similar platforms.
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing both mobile application development and web projects.
- Exposure to CI/CD practices and release management.
- Previous hands-on development experience in technologies such as MERN, PHP (Laravel), etc is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with risk management, change control, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience working with offshore/nearshore teams.
