Job Description
We are seeking a highly seasoned, hands-on AWS Cloud Manager to own, govern, and optimize our AWS infrastructure. This is a strategic and tactical leadership role for someone who breathes AWS someone who can design, deploy, maintain, and support our entire AWS cloud stack with surgical precision. This role demands deep expertise in advanced AWS architecture, DevSecOps automation, and large-scale cloud operations, with direct involvement in implementation and support. You will serve as the final authority on all things AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management (100% AWS)
- Architect, manage, and scale a secure and resilient multi-account AWS environment (2500+ EC2 instances).
- Lead hands-on implementation and optimization of services including but not limited to:
- Compute: EC2, Lambda, Lightsail, ELB
- Storage: S3, Glacier
- Networking & Security: VPC, Route 53, WAF, Direct Connect, CloudFront, KMS, Secrets Manager
- DevOps & Monitoring: CloudWatch, CloudWatch Events, X-Ray, Inspector
- Data & Caching: ElastiCache, HealthLake
- Identity & Access: Cognito, IAM
- Communication & Messaging: SES, SNS
- API Management: API Gateway, X-Ray, Cognito, CloudTrail
2. Implementation & Support Excellence
- Lead end-to-end cloud infrastructure deployments for healthcare SaaS products.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent AWS-related issues with minimal MTTR.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, ABDM, HIPAA-equivalent).
3. Cost Optimization & Governance
- Monitor spend and implement cost controls using tools like AWS Budgets, Trusted Advisor.
- Design for high availability while optimizing for cloud economics.
4. Security & Compliance
- Embed best practices in cloud security and data protection.
- Partner with InfoSec to lead incident response and audits.
5. Automation & DevOps Collaboration
- Build infrastructure as code using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate CI/CD workflows and monitoring across microservices.
- Implement containerization using appropriate tools like Docker, Kubernetes.
6. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Maintain detailed documentation on architecture, policies, compliance and operational runbooks.
- Mentor DevOps teams on AWS usage, security and performance best practices.
Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- (Additional specialty certifications in Security, Advanced Networking, or Data Analytics are a plus)
