Python Lead Engineer @ EZ

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Python, PySpark, Databricks, and Advanced SQL. The ideal candidate will lead the development of data engineering solutions, enabling large-scale analytics and data transformation in a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and reliable data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks.
• Build robust Python solutions for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and validation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including data scientists, architects, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for large datasets.
• Implement best practices for performance, security, and data governance.
• Provide technical leadership to junior developers through mentoring and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and support production deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering or backend development.
• Advanced skills in Python and PySpark.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (on Azure or AWS).
• Proficient in Advanced SQL for large-scale data operations and optimization.
• Good understanding of data lakes, data warehousing concepts, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
